Join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Code.org's Regional Partner for western Pennsylvania, for this 1-day workshop to introduce computer science basics in a format that’s fun and accessible for even the absolute beginner. This workshop will cover content from Code.org's elementary school curriculum, as well as explore foundational concepts of computer science that can be introduced to even the youngest learners. Participants will receive a Code.org Curriculum Guide, as well as fun swag.

Launched in 2013, Code.org is a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science, and increasing participation by women and underrepresented students of color. Our vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science. We believe computer science should be part of core curriculum, alongside other courses such as biology, chemistry or algebra.
